For the last 8 years, I have been involved as a founding Board Member of Gray Area Foundation for the Arts. The non-profit organization applies art and technology to create positive social impact through education, civic engagement, and public programs.
Creative Director is an umbrella title for many roles. Curator, Exhibit Designer, Visual Designer, Web Developer, even some demolition work.
Web Presence
As Gray Area has shifted focus over the years from an Art Gallery to an Arts Incubator and Educational Space, the purpose of its web presence has shifted as well. With an ever growing focus on events and programming, Gray Area needs a website that can service our continually expanding community.
Transforming Space
In 2014, Gray Area secured a 10 year lease on the historic Grand Theater in San Francisco's Mission District. Originally an 870-seat single screen cinema, the theater has mostly been used as a retail space for the last several decades. We are so happy to be rehabilitating this space and restore it back to the community as a cultural institution.
Through this experience, I have had the pleasure of working with some of the most dedicated people in the fields of Fine Art, Creative Code, Data Visualization, and Interactive Cartography. It's an organization that I have devoted my time to when I can, and it has been one of the most rewarding endeavors of my life.
